Meet Your Therapist
Fecha’s work has always been guided by one simple belief: children are constantly communicating, even when they do not have the words to explain what they are feeling.
Over the years, she has worked with children and families across private practice, community organisations and not-for-profit settings, including the Singapore Association for the Deaf, Canossaville Children’s Home and Club Rainbow. These experiences exposed her to children navigating very different emotional, developmental and life challenges, and deepened her understanding of how important it is to look beyond behaviour and ask what a child may be trying to communicate.
Fecha has a particular affinity for working with young children, neurodivergent children and young people who may find it difficult to express themselves verbally. Her clinical work includes play therapy, activity-based therapeutic approaches, therapeutic parenting and trauma-informed support. Rather than expecting a child to fit into a particular way of communicating, Fecha meets them where they are and creates a space where they can express themselves through play, creativity, movement and connection.
For Fecha, play is far more than an activity. It is a language. Through play, children can communicate experiences they may not yet understand, explore emotions that feel too overwhelming to put into words and begin to make sense of their inner world. By learning to listen to that language, Fecha helps children feel seen and understood while supporting parents to better understand what may be happening beneath the surface.
At the heart of her work is a commitment to creating a relationship where every child feels safe enough to be themselves, supported enough to grow, and understood enough to flourish.

Expertise and experience
Professional Qualifications
Education
Fecha’s path into therapeutic work began with a love of music and working with children. After completing her business degree, she went on to work as a piano educator, where she developed an early appreciation for the many different ways children learn, express themselves, and build confidence.
Her interest in child development and emotional wellbeing eventually led her to specialise in play therapy. She holds a Master’s in Practice-Based Play Therapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy, and continues to build on this foundation through ongoing study and professional development. Fecha sees learning as an essential part of being an effective therapist and is continually deepening her understanding of children, families, neurodiversity, and therapeutic practice.
Certifications
Alongside her postgraduate qualifications, Fecha has completed specialist training across a range of therapeutic approaches. She holds a Diploma in Learning Disorders and Child Psychology and is trained in Water Play Therapy, LEGO® Therapy, and Filial Play. She is also a Certified AutPlay® Therapist, supporting neurodivergent children through a strengths-based and affirming approach.
Fecha is a member of Play Therapy International (PTI) and remains committed to ongoing supervision, ethical practice, and professional development throughout her career.
Experience
Fecha has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families across a diverse range of community and clinical settings, including private practice, specialist therapy agencies, and not-for-profit organisations such as the Singapore Association for the Deaf, Canossaville Children's Home, and Club Rainbow, which supports children living with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. Throughout her career, she has worked with children aged 4 to 16 experiencing anxiety, autism, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, grief, behavioural challenges, and family transitions.
Drawing on a child-centred, evidence-based approach, Fecha combines her clinical expertise with genuine compassion to help children feel safe, understood, and empowered. She has a particular passion for supporting neurodivergent children and believes that every behaviour communicates an underlying need. By working closely with parents, schools, and other professionals, Fecha creates an integrated support system that helps children build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop the confidence and skills to thrive both at home and beyond the therapy room.
Specializations
Fecha supports children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, developmental, and social challenges. Her areas of specialisation include anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, school-related difficulties, and behavioural challenges. She also works with children navigating family transitions such as divorce, separation, relocation, or the arrival of a new sibling, helping them process change in a healthy and supportive way.
Using evidence-based play therapy tailored to each child's individual needs, Fecha helps children develop emotional resilience, strengthen their confidence, improve social and communication skills, and build healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. She is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and empowering families with practical strategies that foster connection, understanding, and long-term emotional wellbeing.
Approach
Every child experiences the world differently, which is why therapy should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Fecha creates a warm, safe, and accepting environment where children are free to express themselves in the way that feels most natural to them, through play. By carefully observing each child's unique way of communicating, she tailors every session to meet their individual emotional, developmental, and therapeutic needs. Working collaboratively with parents and caregivers, Fecha aims to understand not only the child, but also the wider family context, ensuring that meaningful progress extends beyond the therapy room.
Values
At the heart of Fecha's practice is the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. She approaches each family with compassion, curiosity, and respect, recognising that behaviour is often a form of communication rather than something to be corrected. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practice, while always honouring the unique personality, strengths, and experiences of each child. By fostering trust, emotional safety, and genuine connection, Fecha helps children build resilience, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive both now and in the future.
